American Spirit Charities is a non-profit dedicated to supporting disaster relief, supplies, and financial aid to individuals impacted by natural disasters and unfortunate events. We are 100% supported by the generosity from individuals, families, and businesses of Western Pennsylvania, and through their support and donations we can help those in their most trying times of need. In short, we are everyday Americans helping our neighbors when the unimaginable happens.

Our Mission

Our Story

American Spirit Charities was born out of the desire to give back, support, and help those who were impacted by the Mayfield, KY tornadoes of 2021. Just weeks before Christmas, a strong EF4 tornado decimated the town of Mayfield, killing 57 people along it's path. With this, American Spirit Charities founder Luke Berardelli, started organizing a collection site and asked countless volunteers to help organize and prepare the donations. With the communities support, along with the generous support of manpower and its facility, Brighton Twp. Municipal Leadership and the Brighton Twp. Fire Department, we successfully collected enough supplies to fill three 20' enclosed trailers and three truck beds. All donated supplies were dropped off at the Church of Christ in Mayfield, KY, with remaining pallets of water going to the makeshift fire department at a local warehouse. Financial donations helped to pay for travel and lodging.
